Year in Review from the SF Giving Tree Meetup!

Volunteering Minions,

I thought we did alot last year but check this out: we had nine events last year and 67 this year! Congrats you generous peeps!

In 2012, we boxed and sorted 45,000 lbs of produce and groceries at the Food Bank, chopped 3250 lbs of veggies at Project Open Hand, served 900 meals at the Next Door Shelter, fed 100 families at Ronald McDonald house, fed 20 families, contributed 40 hours of home improvement and helped Family House raise $17,000, coached 150 hours of basketball and swimming, worked 80 man hours building at Habitat for Humanity and beautified one park, and helped raise $830,000 for March of Dimes.

Our secret sauce was the amazing Project Leader team: Baljinder, Daniel, Dianne, Leslie, Phillip, and Sara. You guys rock!

Want to do more? Here are two ways:

  • We're growing the Project Leader team. Message me if you're interested.
  • We will happily take contributions for our Ronald McDonald House fund. 100% goes towards paying the grocery bills. Baljinder, who runs the monthly event, can receive Paypals at

Hasta luego,
