"Re-orientating UX Design for the Internet of Things" by Alfred Lui

We are looking for 2 volunteers for this event. If you're interested, please contact the organizers.

We used to go to our desks to connect to the Internet, now the Internet is in our pockets. Next year, it will be common to access online information on our wrists, from our eyeglasses, and inside our cars.

As a designer of wearable devices, a service designer and the founder of the San Francisco Internet of Things Meetup, Alfred will share his experience and observations on how UX designers can start to investigate 4 key areas and begin a conversation in this new era of information access.

He gave this talk in SXSW Interactive 2014. If you couldn't make it to Austin this year, this is a great chance to catch this talk!

Speaker Bio

Alfred Lui (@connection76) has 10 years of experience in designing digital service and connected products. He is currently the Chief Design Officer of Seer Labs, a new start-up in San Francisco. He founded this, the San Francisco Internet of Things Meetup, in 2012. Prior to his current role at Seer, he was the UX Director for Health at Jawbone, Service Design Director at Fjord (a global service design consultancy) and Design Lead at Motorola.
