Join us on Wednesday July 31st. We will meet to discuss this great novel by Umberto Eco “The Name of the Rose”. Our first meeting place is at “La Boulange du Dome”- at Westfield San Francisco Center right under the dome. This is a nice place, is quite enough so we can sit and talk, order food or a glass of wine.
If you are just joining and/or did not have a chance to read the book, you are still welcome to come and meet us! We will pick the next book to read that day as well. Hope to see you there! James & Dilcia
The Name of the Rose is the first novel by Italian author Umberto Eco. It is a historical murder mystery set in an Italian monastery in the year 1327, an intellectual mystery combining semiotics in fiction, biblical analysis, medieval studies and literary theory. First published in Italian in 1980 under the title Il nome della rosa, it appeared in English in 1983, translated by William Weaver. (from Wikipedia)
