Announcing a new Meetup for The San Francisco .NET Developers User Group!

What: Using Mocking in your Test Driven Development

When: Wednesday, September 29,[masked]:30 PM

Where: Microsoft Office
835 Market Street Suite 700
San Francisco, CA 94103

We all know we should be writing unit tests for our code, but that is often difficult due to the interdependencies of the different components. For example, Testing class A is difficult because it uses class B which goes against a webservice that?s not always available. Mocking is a technique where one can create a stand-in for a class so that anything using that class will think your mock is the real thing. And you can make the mock class behave in any way you like, allowing you to full test your code with ease.

Does this sound too confusing? It?s really not complicated, and mocking is a very powerful technique that can result in must more stable and higher quality code. Come to this session to learn what Mocking is, how to use it, where to get good free mocking libraries, and to see real life code using mocks.
