Greetings!
As a follow-up to last month's introduction to the Calais Web service, please join Jeff Walpole, CEO of Phase2 Technology, on Tuesday, April 28th @ 6:15 p.m. at the Thomson Reuters office at 425 Market Street (@ Fremont) in downtown San Francisco.
Jeff will discuss the work Phase2 has done bringing semantic technologies into Drupal sites, working with RDFa and more. In particular, Jeff will showcase OpenPublish, a new and free publishing platform based on Drupal 6.
OpenPublish offers out-of-the-box functionality, including semantic metatagging from OpenCalais and its seamless connection to the Linked Data cloud. It taps the power of Drupal as a social publishing platform and supports everything from news coverage to Web 2.0 trends, social publishing and the increasingly in-demand topic hubs -- which can lead to more traffic and superior content monetization.
If you are interested in setting up a Drupal site/instance for yourself, please feel free to download and setup OpenPublish in advance of the session, and then mirror what Jeff does in the demo.
Note: Please RSVP now to save your spot. We have expanded seating to 50 for this session so that we can invite a number of interested folks from the SF Drupal users group. I will hold off on sending that invite until the bulk of you have had a chance to RSVP.
Thanks!
-Krista

Hi all -- I will be there to host, of course. I just changed my RSVP so that we could accommodate more folks. I am also looking into getting a larger room in our facility. Will be in touch ASAP.
