I am sorry for being out of touch until now. A few words of introduction is in order since I have take over the organization of this meetup late last year. My name is Leonard and I been a snow skier for a number of years and very familiar with Tahoe and the surrounding areas for skiing and boarding.
I am very excited about this meetup and have a number of activities/event(s) in the works for this upcoming ski/boarding season starting with the San Francisco Ski & Snowboard Festival at Fort Mason in San Francisco (See below for meetup details).
This will be followed by a viewing of the new Warren Miller's movie "Wintervention" at the Palace of Fine Arts to get you all in mood for the upcoming season if you are not already there yet.
The plan is rent a cabin for one weekend each month alternating between north and south shore of Tahoe starting in January where members of the meetup who go up that weekend will share the costs so stay tuned. Also, if there recommendations for cabins in either north or south shore please email me the details so I can check on the availability for our meetup.
For those of you who are more into the one day ski trips, there will be several one day trips planned for Kirkwood, Sugar Bowl and Bear Valley to name a few as well as the Ski Bus trips for those of you are interested in letting someone else do the driving.
We will also have some happy hour meet and greet events just a few days prior to the trips so every one can meet each other.
Also, if there is anyone who is interested in helping me with the event planning/hosting please feel free to contact me.
