July"Welcome the Summer" Social

Thanks again to everyone who made it to the June social at Sens.

A good time was had by all who did make it and a number of connections were made for this upcoming 2015 ski and snowboard season.

It's that time of the month again for another social and a definitely good way to welcome the summer. You can catch up with the connections you made during the socials and perhaps make some plans to take advantage of the awesome weather we been having.

The socials will still be posted every couple of months for the the members who want to still hang out during the summer months as well some group activities like whitewater trips, hikes or day trips to Napa.

We will meeting again at Sens on Drumn street in 4 Embarcadero center(Promenade Level) which has validated parking, an awesome Happy Hour with great drink/food specials and close to BART/public transportation.

Invitations have been extended to the Bay Area Skiing and Snowboarding so we will be meeting other people who share our desire for having a good time.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Enjoyed those I met and talked to. Unfortunately Sens was not available, closed for a private function. We met in the lobby of the Hyatt instead. It was a fun meeting for those of us who persevered and found the meeting.

I thought the meeting was on the 16th. I'm retired and so I ski mostly midweeks. My wife doesn't ski so it's just me. We live in the city. I'd be interested in in a midweek place at a low rate. Presumably most ski houses are full only on weekends when working people are there, so I hope it's possible to find a place on my terms, one that would otherwise go empty. I sometimes ski on 1 weekend day to be with my daughter and family. But I'm willing to find a motel on those days. I prefer kirkwood but my pass also covers heavenly and northstar.

Denis, let me know if you want to talk. Many of us can work from home and spend a few week days in Tahoe but only ski the weekends and a little after work when time permits. We could have some space for you if you are interested.

Hey snow seekers, I'll be getting there a little late because I have a prior obligation but will have some information on a ski lease forming in South Lake Tahoe. Let me know if you are interested. We have a group meeting Monday the 14th and I can give you details.
