Snow is coming: Lets go to Tahoe!

The snow forecast for Tahoe is finally looking promising:

"..wet Pacific storms into the Sierra Nevada with close-call snow levels (relatively mild air due to the source region off the milder mid Pacific Ocean waters), for 2-3 days (Thursday 19th into Saturday the 21st). This wetter scenario is expected to help balance out the dry patterns we have seen so far this winter. This could set up a very good base of heavy dense snow pack mainly above 6,000 feet (could easily be multiple feet but we will need to watch) and a lot of water (what we wanted to see in November and December). The 2-3 days of wet snow and possible 7,000+ foot snow levels could be finished by 1-2 days (Sat/ Sun~21-22 Jan) of colder and less dense, but still heavy snowfall, again possibly multiple feet (will need to watch)."

I think we need a ski trip! South Lake Tahoe sounds good to me (I have a Heavenly pass, so will be going there, but if anyone else wants to drive off to one of the other resorts, that's cool).

I have booked a 2-bedroom cabin (big enough for 6 people with roll-away beds).  The cabin is close to Boulder Lodge and has a hot tub and wood burning stove.

The cabin is now full, the following people have confirmed their places:

1 - Gareth

2 - Martin + 1

4 - Manmeet

5 - George

6 - Denise

If you are in Tahoe then anyway feel free to get in touch if you want to meet up for skiing (or apres-ski).  I sent out my cell to RSVPs, you can also email me.

Sorry, no joy with the ticket. God knows where my brother left it :) But if you are around and fancy meeting up for a drink in the evening, let me know.

I also have a spare Kirkwood day pass (my brother won at a Skipals event last year). Someone can have for a the price of a couple of beers (If I can work out where my brother left it).
