Hi Everyone!

Now that an Indian summer is fully upon us and winter is still down the road for us, its time for a beach party and barbecue at one of my favorite beachs in Marin county:Heart's Desire Beach @ Tomales State Park.

Directions to Tomales Bay State Park:

From HWY 101: Take the San Anselmo/Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit and head west on Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Drive approximately 45 minutes to the juntion of Highway 1 at Olema, and turn right onto the highway. Drive about three miles and turn left, again onto Sir Francis Drake Blvd. Continue through Inverness to a sign which indicates that Point Reyes beaches and lighthouse are to the left, and Tomales Stat Park is to the right. Turn right. At the sign for Heart's Desire Beach turn right through the gate, down the hill. at the ranger station, a parking fee will be collected. Continue down the hill to the Heart's Desire parking area and look for us on the beach.

In a effort to be green, I encourage everyone to post on the comments area of this meetup notice if you would like to car pool.

I will have some water toys and a volleyball/volleynet set up for those of you who want to play. Don't forget to bring your beach chairs and sunscreen!

Chicken will be the main course. Those who arrive early can also enjoy local oysters, both raw and barbecue. Some beer and soft drinks will be provided, but feel free to bring a favorite side dish or beverage to share.  Donations will be accepted to cover some of the expenses for the party.

For those of you who live far away, you caHn reserve a campsite at Olema Ranch Campground.

Hope to see everyone there!

Cheers,

Leonard

I have a reservation for Olema Ranch that I am not going to use. I paid $49 for it, so best offer and it's yours. I got a site in the state park instead.
