Tennis 3.0 Play Group at Mountain Lake Park (inner richmond)

  • Needs a date

  • Mountain Lake Park

98 Funston Avenue, San Francisco, CA (map)

  • Looking to start a tennis playgroup at Mountain Lake Park near 12th and Lake in Inner Richmond. Weekdays or weekend. Hopefully a couple of times a week. Since there is no light at the tennis courts so after work play would not work for this winter time. Please let me know if you are interested. I am hoping to get an estimate of how many people are interested and find some times that work for all of us.

I think I'm a 3.0 to 3.5, and I would love to play tennis any time from 9am to 5pm between 6/22/16 to 7/6/16 (excluding 4th of July weekend). I'm visiting BF in SF and want to keep working on my tennis & playing, but I'd prefer to play sometime between during the day while he's at work if possible, and I'd basically be down to play every day/ any day during this 2 week period. Shoot me a message here or an email at: [masked] if you're interested. :)

    Best,
    Tina

Suyash, between my backcountry skiing and indoor climbing, I've been lacking in court time, but need to get out there and see if I can still hang on to a tennis racket. I'm at 10th and Clement . . . long ago I played in the juniors, so know how to do it.

Is there a meet up session that has a set day and time, and maybe location if not mtn lake so that ppl can sign up for that session if they can make it, instead of asking around for partners and availability?

    1 · October 16, 2014

    • Christy

Someone would have to create an event and set an actual date and time so people can join the event. People may be asking around for partners and availability because not everyone can meet at that specific date and time. Also, it depends on the location as well. Maybe you can start one! :)

    • Eunis

Thanks Christy. That's what I've been thinking about. I got this idea from a very successful tennis meetup that I joined before I moved to SF. But I don't want to be seen as the organizer and am not sure about the permission of holding a meetup.

Please message me if you're interested in playing weekdays in the evening or weekends in the late afternoon. I used to play a lot in school as well and haven't been playing in over ten years so I'm REALLY rusty.

Hi Jennifer! I am interested in playing Saturday at MLP. I also play with a group on Sundays at Lincoln HS.

Hi everyone, thanks for joining this meetup! I am excited about hitting the court and starting to play soon. Here are a few time slots to start out with, please let me know which times work for you. I'd also appreciate it if you have suggestions on how to organize this better.

    Monday: 1pm
    Tuesday: 8am
    Wednesday: 8am
    Friday: 8am or 1pm
    Sunday: 11am and lunch afterwards

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I can play at 2pm on Mondays and Fridays also.

      January 13, 2014

    • Eileen

Sundays, hope this is still going on?

      May 15, 2014

  • Lee

I work until 2pm weekdays, so would be available by 3pm to dusk (due to court lighting situation). I's also be amenable to an early morning weekend session if that's all I can get that week. Returning rusty and old as all get out after a ten year absence. If there's anyone else in that shape - or a beginner-ish player, we may be well suited until I get my court legs back. I'm on the coast if anyone else is - if not, I'm willing to drive to MLP.

I live on 20th avenue and am looking to play! Not a lot of experience but I'm hoping to meet someone around my level so we can improve. I also would like to meet more people since I'm new to the area!

I also live very close to Mtn Lake Park . . . grew up playing high school, junior davis cup and in the Juniors, but that was a long time ago . . . now I'm happy to just thrash around, but if you really think you can hit it, sure . . . say hello (and if you've got a pass to sugarbowl and can ski weekdays, even better)
