RE: [tennis-271] new SF Tennis Meetups coming soon...cookouts & sailing, too?

Hi Rob, I'm new to your meet-up and am really looking forward to attending one.  I'll be sure to RSVP quickly next time - since I noticed this saturday is full.  Additional events like sailing would be great.  Early matches are good, too.

Cheers,

Daria

Subject: [tennis-271] new SF Tennis Meetups coming soon...cookouts & sailing, too?

Hi Everyone,

Rob here. Just a short note regarding the SF Tennis Meetup. Many of you have emailed me lamenting that this Saturday's Tennis Meetup at GG Park is full.

I am working on some additional dates for the next couple of months and plan to add more than what is currently on the schedule in the next few days. The new dates will still be first come, first serve, so when you get the email, RSVP as soon as you can. I'll email everyone & post details in the next few days. Because of the number of people that are asking to come, I'm also going to begin reserving 5 courts instead of 4 following this Saturday's meetup. As well, a few people have emailed asking me to add earlier times.

I've talked to some of you about having late morning tennis (eg. 10am-12noon) followed by a cookout (hot dogs, etc.) and there is interest in trying that, so I'm going to work out a schedule that could accomodate that and we can see if the interest is large or small. Also, for those types of days, people could come just for the socializing afterward if there's no room left on the courts. There would be a small additional charge if we do that, but it would be very minimal.

I'd like to ask that you each add a little to your Tennis Meetup profile, if only what your playing level is. Most people haven't been formally rated, but you can get a rough guide here:
http://www.easitennis2.com/NTRPSystem.htm.
Everyone likes to see the comments that people post on their profiles and on the site, so please don't be shy.

Finally, I am thinking of adding a couple of "special events", like a sailing day on the bay and would like to gauge interest. Please email me if you are interested in that or any other type of activity. Charges would definitely be more for sailing, and if there are other things people would like to have organized, charges would be commensurate with the activity.

As always, please email any suggestions, comments or questions.

Regards, Rob
SF Tennis Meetup Organizer
