The San Francisco Tennis Party Message Board › Socially conscious art start-up selling beautiful framed handmade textiles
|A former member||
I came across a recently launched ecommerce art startup and wanted to spread the word because they have a great story and are creating a really unique and beautiful product.
St. Frank (http://stfrank.com...) sells framed handmade textiles, sourcing directly from artisans in developing countries around the world. All of their products have a rich history that St. Frank celebrates and shares. The company has a two-fold social mission of 1) supporting economic empowerment for these artisans and 2) preserving traditional artisanal craft.
Their large-scale, custom-framed textiles are truly extraordinary works. They start at $645, and framed prints start at $225 with free shipping and white-glove delivery. They're currently selling a set of four embroidered holiday ornaments - they are 'Birds of Peace' which are handmade by Palestinian women living in Gaza’s refugee camps. The set of four birds is $58, including a gift box and free shipping- a great gift in the spirit of the season.
Thanks for taking the time to check out their site and help spread the word! Feel free to reach out to my friend Minda, who runs their operations if you have questions or feedback: email@example.com.
