Trail Run/Jog at Kenter

(arrive by 7:15am, ready to start PROMPTLY at 7:30am, thanks!)
1240 N. Kenter Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90049

Google Maps link is

From the 405 Freeway, exit Sunset Blvd and go west for approximately
1.3 miles, then turn right onto Kenter.
Follow Kenter uphill for 2.5 miles until you reach the gate, then park.
Please remember people in the homes are probably sleeping.

The trail is a wide dirt fire road.
Go at your own pace, but please bring a watch so you'll know when 60 minutes has passed because that's when you turn around and come back for snacks!
This trail is dog friendly and mountain bike friendly, but please keep it
that way! Stay on the far right of the path in order to allow mountain bikes to pass on your left side. Keep dogs on leashes, bring "doggie bags" and please use them!
Everyone, make an effort to leave the trail in a cleaner condition than it was when you arrived, thanks!

Drinks provided by Dorie F.
We visit a different trail in the Santa Monica Mountains on Saturday
mornings at 7:30. We are a friendly and relaxed group of runners &
hikers, of all ages & abilities, and we run/walk for time, not distance.
Everyone goes out for one hour, then turns around and comes back.
No one is too fast or too slow to join us.
There is no cost to participate.
Afterwards, there will be free refreshments to share but everyone
should still bring their own fluids in order to hydrate while on the trail.
The location of our Saturday run will be posted on Facebook and sent
via email every Thursday (sometimes earlier).
Feel free to bring friends & family!
We look forward to meeting you!

so this is probably a "duh"/dumb question...but if we're to turn around after 60minutes, that makes this a 2 hour run right? Also I'm guessing that if 2hours is too much, we can turn around whenever...Thanks!

you can turn around any time - run less or more. You do get back faster; last Sat we did Westridge, I turned around exactly after running for 1hr, it took me 48min to get back. Wesgridge trail is rolling hills, but coming back is always more downhill, and you are warmed up, running faster :)

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
