Many of you have heard that Marlene has made academic commitments and will no longer be able to serve as the website coordinator.
In the past, Marlene, Julie, Lisa, and Christen have all shared coordinator/lead responsibilities with Marlene being the primary contact for the website. The four of us divided responsibilities among the website, coordinating/leading meetings, answering questions from new members and authors, scheduling new meet ups, and conducting polls for future book lists.
We need a new website coordinator or our group may disappear!
The website costs us about $12/month and the coordinator collects these funds during meetings and oversees the overall communication from Meetup.com. (Marlene has a much better idea of what's involved.)
If you are interested in volunteering, please let us know ASAP. Lisa and Marlene will not be able to attend on Saturday, but they may be able to answer your questions via the website and email before other commitments take them away.
Sadly, our group may only have a few months left otherwise.
