I love cats and like to think of myself as an outgoing, caring & compassionate person. In my prime I was a Strawberry Blond but more white than red these days so I thought the smiling cat was a good representation of this redhead turning white.
I've done mostly poetry & childrens but I'm also interested in Sci-Fi & mystery. But being the cat lover that I am there is almost always at least one cat involved in most of what I write. I guess you could say they are my muse.
Since my teens, which at my age is an eternity, but not seriously until about 1995. As things in my life became more complicated I found it to be an emotional escape and safety valve.

Unfortunately, only in a club newsletter. I used to write & produce radio advertising, which I also loved doing, but I don't know if that qualifies as being published.
Thriving and growing more each meeting.
People are signing up for Dec 19. I thought that one was cancelled.
Please advise. Rachel Mann
Hi Boots. I wanted to see if any of your members would be interested in a 8 week course on social media I'm teaching at USFSM starting October 5 as part of their LifeLong Academy of Learning. There will be lots of tips on how authors can use LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc., to build a learning network, market their books, etc. Cost is only $65. More info here: http://bit.ly/ozQMoj Thanks, Delaney Kirk
I found it on my gps
I thought it was 1331 1st street not 1313 ?
hey Boots is that Selby a library in Bradenton or Sarasota? I looked it up on my gps but it says no matches!! I hope to be there on Wednesday!!
Thanks Boots - I will see you at Selby this Wednesday :)
I'll still plan on coming. I know right where it is. I used to go there to write before I moved to Southgate.
See you then! - Mari
Hi Boots! Thank you for your welcome message, but I'm a bit confused. The listing for the meet-up said it was at Barnes & Noble, but your message said Fruitville Library. B&N is only 5 mins. from my house, so I'm hoping it's the spot, but please confirm which location it is.
Thanks Ever So, Mari
First: I'm ecstatic that someone started a creative writing group in Sarasota!
Second, I'm sorry it took a while to get back to you for dates and times. I'm most readily available in the evenings on Monday, Sunday, and Wednesday. Other times will be trickier to achieve, but workable. I feel like a good coffee shop is a perfect place for this kind of group, depending of course on size.
