Enjoy free concerts every Sunday eve at this popular park. Other Meetup groups here too. This night is Groove Merchants, a Big City Sound with a Horn Section. I have heard this band they are excellent.
Kaz will bring the yellow Smiley Face balloon and tie it to one of the large pine trees on the far side of the bathrooms in the Right Rear, as before. We like the spot - we can dance there and talk, and not get our ears blown out! And it's "comforting" in a way to be under the pine trees.
Bring a blanket or chair to hear your favorite local bands. Train and carousel rides $2. each. Children under three ride free with a paying adult. Bring a picnic dinner or food will also be available for purchase. Free parking, but fills up early!
The concert series runs from May - July and we're in need of fun-loving individuals to help host and co-host these Sunday evenings . If you like dancing, making new friends, and enjoying a beautiful evening under the stars ~ this would be an excellent opportunity for you.
Here is the lineup of bands for the remainder of the Sunday night series:
June 9 The JJ's, Motown to the 80's Dance Music
June 16 StaticRetro / Ol' Skool Dance / Rock Hits
June 23 Georgia Chrome, New Country
June 30 Cold Shott and the Hurricanes, Classic Rock and R & B
July 7 Mogollon, High Energy Country
