Summer Book Club

Summer is a great time for some fun reading! Victoria is hosting a book club for us, and this is the first book we will be reading together. I saw many available on Amazon (used) for under $2. so it's easy to find. Great discussions ahead!

Victoria says: The book I suggest for the first meeting: Life's A Beach by Claire Cook:

"Ginger finds herself back home living in the FROG (furnished room over the garage), single, forty-one, and an owner of a cat named Boyfriend. Ginger does have a somewhat boyfriend in Noah, an artist in glassblowing. Ginger's sister Gail is about to turn 50, is married with children and is nagging Ginger to grow up and to get a stable life. Her parents plan to sell the house so Ginger must confront lifestyle changes which will surprise everyone, herself included."

This is a quick, fun read for the initial book club meeting. I also hope that this meeting will serve as an introduction of members and a casual discussion of reading interests. I invite members to bring a list of any number of books that they have read or would like to read in the book club.

Though I am sure that we all have specifics genres that we prefer to read I also think that we may be open to exploring others. (I tend to read fiction and non fiction, historical fiction, mysteries, thrillers and courtroom drama. I stay way from YA, paranormal, and science fiction.)

I won't be able to make it on the 21st, but hopefully you will consider continuing this new club into the Fall. I am interested...
