Lunch at Casino Buffet

Everyone has been asking to go to the Talking Stick, so I expect a bigger than usual crowd! We'll start with the wonderful buffet at the Wandering Horse Buffet. Lunch is $14. + tax + tip. Then we can spend some time gambling or walking around the grounds. Plan for lots of great socializing and lots of fun!

We will enjoy the expansive international buffet offering indoor and outdoor seating featuring Italian, Asian, Mexican, Mediterranean and American cuisines. The Wandering Horse buffet features live cooking stations, a fresh salad bar, a carving station, delectable desserts and a brick oven pizza kitchen.

Thank you for setting up this up Martie. Great people, super lunch & plenty of room to laugh & talk. Worth it! :) Hi to Jim also, and enjoyed talking to you two.

I had a great time, it was like a ladies luncheon. The conversation stimulating and food was good, too ! Let's do this again at Wandering Horse. I love eating at buffets, but no one wants to spend 3 hours "getting fat" with me, so I really enjoyed all your company, and getting to know you better! Buffet Queen - Julia

Don't forget to plan extra time to get through that enormous parking lot, finding parking, walking in, walking around to get to the restaurant, & standing on line to get the Players Card Discount. And bring an extra $3.50 to throw into a slot machine!!

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!

    18% when we're serving ourselves?

    August 13, 2013

    • Martie R

Well you know how Martie loves those discounts, so listen to this....First time visitors to the casino can get a free Players Reward Card. (You must arrive early enough to stand on line at the Players Club...) This will give you a one time $4 discount for food or beverages at all the restaurants. Gambles can get additional discounts when you spend a lot of money at the machines and game tables….

I feel a buffet is MORE work for a server than regular dinner, because they have to keep an eye on your table and keep coming back to remove our plates since we cannot take our dirty plate back to the buffet to load again. They are very good at removing your plate the moment you get up from the table to get more food, and come back to a cleaned up table. Since different people finish their plate at different times, and unlimiited refills of all types of drinks, buffets demand a lot of attention from our server. I may go through 7-8 plates at a buffet, because I take very little each time. I may just go back for one or two things. I want to eat my food hot, also not take more than I can eat and waste food. You also sit there longer than regular dinner (I take 2.5 hours at a seafood buffet to crack crab) and stuff myself pregnant.) and there is less table turnover for a server to make more tips.

Just to let you know, an 18% mandatory large group tip will be added to your bill at the cash register, when you pay before you eat. Total costs with the 18% tip plus tax and meal is about $17.23. So no need to pay a cash tip after you eat, unless you want to give server more than the 18%.

I love Talking Stick but I think it will be even better with this group

Annie, if you want to bring a guest you'll want to add a plus one or even better - have your friend sign up as a member -- and quickly -- since this event is almost filled!

I have this set up as a 'member only' event!

Even more reason for the friend to become a member!! I say - the more the merrier.... but too many people sitting glued to a seat makes it hard to get to know each other
