Celebrating its 26th season, Sunday A’Fair features free outdoor concerts in Scottsdale Civic Center Park by the Valley’s top musicians, along with a fine arts and crafts market. Guests are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs or picnic baskets and enjoy a relaxing afternoon of great entertainment. Let's bring our own "picnic foods" and sit together. If it's raining, we will cancel!
Foods from the vendors, snacks, beer & wine, are available for purchase. There are no tables and chairs, just plenty of lawn space. If you are not familiar with this park, it is really lovely. The main Scottsdale library is located here, and also the Scottsdale Museum for the Performing Arts. In Old Town Scottsdale.
Our group will have a balloon (will email color later) so we can find each other. Stop by whenever you like.
The amphitheater is located on the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall at 75th Street and Main Street. Free parking is available in the public parking garage located to the west of Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and directly behind Los Olivos restaurant on Wells Fargo Ave. Additional free parking is available at the Old Town Parking Corral at East Second Street and Brown Avenue and at the Civic Center Library parking garage located on Drinkwater Blvd at East Second Street.
From Noon-1:30 it is - Sugar Thieves
Southern-style sultry blues roots with high-energy shows. They often perform at Rhythm Room. (You can get there early to hear this band, but our Meetup balloon arrives at 1 PM). We will be sitting in the rear area, center and to the left.
Then, from 2-4 PM - Bad News Blues Band. Blues meets Big Band Swing! Love it!!
There are more concerts scheduled at this venue - check out the web site! You are welcome to host another concert event here.
