Join us for our next terrific Meetup on Wednesday March 13, 2013 at 6:00 pm at La Quinta Inn -- 8888 E. Shea Blvd. It is on the Northeast corner of the 101 freeway and the Shea Blvd Exit.
NOTE: Access to the hotel entrance is tricky. After exiting the 101 freeway, go east on Shea Blvd, turn left on 90th Street, turn left at Desert Cove, turn left at N. 89th Pl., then turn right at Becker Lane and follow the sign to the lobby.
Our speaker for the evening will be Manesh Patel and his presentation is titled: “Trading Using the Ichimoku Cloud”. The Ichimoku Cloud, or Ichimoku Kinko Hyo, is a popular Japanese trend-based charting system that has been used for more than half a century. It identifies the trend and indicates entry and exit points. Manesh will explain the higher probability strategy in detail, and then go to live charts and allow the audience to choose the instrument and timeframe to analyze it based upon the principles that he presented.
No matter what instrument you trade or how long you hold it, this Meetup will be relevant for you!!!
After graduating from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Masters in Engineering, he managed engineering projects for Lucent Technologies and Bell Labs worldwide. He then retired from the engineering field and became a full-time trader while launching The School of Ichimoku with E.I.I. Capital Group. During this time, he built black-box trading modules and worked for institutions on equity and currency trading desks, where he traded through the 2008 financial collapse and 2010 Flash Crash. Patel has achieved a Series 3 License and operates as a CTA. He also published the book Trading with Ichimoku Clouds, John Wiley & Sons. Recently, he has toured the globe as an instructor, teaching traders how to use Ichimoku Clouds to improve their trading.
You may want to arrive at 5:30pm for “official pre-meeting networking”. In addition, we will have time for networking between the first and second hour as well. Many members indicate their trading interests on their name badges-- stocks, e-mini futures, options, etc. Throughout the evening, you can have the opportunity to identify and network with other traders who have your similar interests.
Hope to see you all there for another enlightening Scottsdale Traders and Investors Meetup! Please RSVP …Amy
