Hello Seattle Ruby on Rails Meetup Group! I'm excited to announce our 3rd Ruby on Rails Educational/Networking Meetup Event!

When: Wednesday, June 2nd,[masked]:30 PM

Please note, our normal venue has changed. Whitepages.com has generously offered us use of their very nice meeting space in their Rainier Tower offices, plus they're pitching in again to be our beer sponsor. Thanks Whitepages!

Where:
Whitepages.com Offices
Rainier Tower, Floor 12
1301 5th Avenue, Seattle, WA

You may have heard how wonderfully successful our last networking and educational meetup events were?don't miss this one!

This event is totally free and is a great way to meet and mingle with the best and brightest Ruby devs, Rails devs, and Ruby centric companies in the northwest?be sure to RSVP and let us know you'll be there!

We're fortunate to have the following presenters booked for this event:

Bill Harding
CTO
Bonanzle

Bill will be presenting on how Bonanzle has used RoR to build the Seattle 2.0 list's 13th biggest site with one developer. Depending on time and interest, he may also talk about topics such as how to implement a powerful full text search, or considerations in implementing slave databases in Rails.

Aaron Carter
Avid RoR and Cocoa Dev.

Andrew will be speaking about Ruby Version Manager (RVM). "This is a pretty cool tool for sandboxing ruby and gem versions. For example, it is a very cool way to setup Ruby 1.9 and Rails 3 to experiment with it and not impact your stable Ruby 1.8 install on a Mac."
