The Seattle Ruby on Rails Developers Meetup Group Message Board › Job: Global Health - Great, part-time volunteer positions available for Seat
|A former member||
Clinic Link, Inc., a new, tax-exempt, non-profit is creating a free website to connect individuals and groups devoted to improving the health potential of the Guatemalan people.
We currently have a technical team of 3 designers, 1 test engineer and 2 software developers, and have chosen Rails as our development tool. We would love to get 2 more devs, with some Rails experience (or a strong desire to learn). We also would love to find a few experienced Rails devs willing to field specific questions when our team needs Rails-specific advice. Please note that these are all non-paying, volunteer positions.
The time commitment (for developers) will vary by individual, based on their schedule and Rails knowledge, but I would estimate between 5-15 hours per week, on average. Our team also holds meetings weekly, or bi-weekly - depending on the stage of the project.
Any advisor volunteers can expect around 2-5 hours per week, based on our developers' needs.
If you are interested in this project, please email me at Laura(at)ClinicLink.org. You are also welcome to visit our blog at www.ClinicLink.org, where you can learn about the many hard working groups in Guatemala who need our support!
Thank you, Laura Hernon
