A cotton shirt/blouse at age 13, in a Home Economics class in Jr. High, and the only thing I remember about it was that it did NOT fit me. Was stiff and square :-(
To sew CORRECTLY and read patterns. I can sew two pieces of fabric together and thread my machine but that's about it. I did make a Christmas stocking for one of my pets a few years back (complete with white "fur" on the top), too. I make sleepsacks (basically fleece pillowcases of various sizes) and hammocks for ferrets, which I donate to ferret shelters at the holiday times.
Haven't decided yet.
I'm pretty flexible. Would have to be evenings (after 5:30 pm) on weeknights and anytime on weekends.
I live in Renton and would prefer to stay in S. King Co. or SW Seattle. Driving North past Eastside can be a real challenge with traffic.
Novice sewer here looking to improve skills so I can make quality crafts to sell and give as gifts
