Does anyone have a spare long-hair wig? I don't like buying things for once-a-year use.

I will have one extra wig, but usually our demand is more than that. I only use my wigs once per year for this!

My friend Steven might be joining us. He's a new rider and might need help mounting

Glad to have him! So long as we know to keep an eye out for UPDs, crowds are very forgiving of unicyclist and tend to root them on.

    Welcome Nathan!
For riders new to this parade group: we try to paint ourselves as the Seattle Storm so guys usually wear cheap wigs (not required). The crowd generally thinks we are the Sonics and correcting them is futile, just go with it and have fun. When you arrive to the paint party you can find us near the paint table inside the hanger (don't worry, you'll see it).

Noli and I will be parking at gasworks at 10:30 and riding to the paint party from there. Who will be joining us?

I plan on parking at Gasworks and riding to the paint party. Who else wants to do that? We should decide on a time to meet.

Also, I personally think it would make us appear a much more cohesive, impressive GROUP if we were all doing the same thing, versus part of the group being basketball players and part of the group juggling.

I could ride with you from Gas Works, if you're down to pick me up

      Sure

I've done this many times on my own, but I'm always clothed. I just ride up and down the parade route trying to find an open area and then stop and juggle for a bit. If anyone asks (which they never have), I've cleared it that Chaotic Noise that we can say we're with them. See you there!

John. Do you mind if I join you, clothed with Juggling balls? My phone[masked]

    • John S.

Cool! Come on down. My phone is having problems, but I'm sure you'll notice me.

When can we expect to be done with this ride? It seems to be starting much later than previous years.

    June 18, 2014

    • Ethan B.

It started at 3:00 last year, too, though before that it was 12:00. I think we quit looping and got to Gas Works around 4:00 last year.

I'll be painted in the Storm colors, and some of the time (perhaps most of the time), I'll be dribbling the bouncy balls. Mostly they're to give to the crowd. I'll have plenty for others to juggle or dribble or hand out!

To be clear, you won't be turned away if you don't have $10; you'll just be glowered at.

Brandi and I will be dropped off at the paint party around 11am. Last year we rode from Gasworks to the paint party. If any of you want to do the same this year I'll leave it up to someone else to coordinate it, I'll be sleeping in.

Aaaaannnnd, I plan to be clothed this time as well. Considering a suit, tie and briefcase actually. :)

    June 17, 2014

    • KennyCason

That's ok, we can paint over your clothes just fine.

Important Reminder: each person at the paint party is required to pay $10 for entry and use of paint/space. I'd hate for anyone to be refused at the gate. :-(

I've got my couple hundred small super balls to juggle, throw to the crowd, or throw to the crowd by dropping them when I juggle!

Time to prepare your uni for the parade! Covering the saddle with a cotton kitchen towel is highly recommended to reduce chafing - lesson learned. Brandi will bring a basketball, more than one is preferred.

    I'll be in Oregon. ;)
