So What Does All This Have to Do With "The Secret"

From: John

I am the Organizer of 3 meetup groups "The Secret Movie, Book and Much, Much More", "What The Bleep Do We Know" and "The Alliance for a New Humanity" So that more people could participate and more people could find like minded people, the meetups are combined. We have a great space. I have a window of time instead of start time and end time. People can come and go as they please. Drop by, stay a long time, come when you go can go when you like. I want a safe, supportive space for people to explore consciousness and spirituality. I see consciousness and spirituality as all encompassing and so includes everything, just from different points of view.

The Secret begins with an eight-word excerpt attributed to the Emerald Tablet circa 3000 BCE: "As above so below. As within, so without" This comes from the Hermetic philosophy and teachings associated with it. We are not going to explore this here, but I mention to those that want to delve into this.

What I do want to look into is the relationships between what you may experience on this meetup group and how that relates to "The Secret" I am referring to topics such as meditation, consciousness, heart field, noetic science, yoga, chi (Chinese), ki (Japanese), prana (Indian), yoga, reiki, qigong, sound healing, buddhism, christianity, quantum physics, spiritual laws and principles, religious beliefs and philosophies and much, much more.

In each group I will delve into these how these topics relate to the meetup topic from different points of view. In "The Secret" group I look from the Law of Attraction and Like Attracts Like. In "What the Bleep" I will explore from a science and philosophy, quantum physics, creating reality, infinite probability and possibility point of view. In "The Alliance" I am exploring from transforming myself to transform the world point of view. I love the quote from Gandhi "Can you be the change you wish to see in the world"

The Blind Man and the Elephant

It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant~(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation~Might satisfy his mind.
The First approached the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side, ~ At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant ~ Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, "Ho! what have we here?
So very round and smooth and sharp? ~ To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant ~ Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands, ~ Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant ~ Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out an eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like ~ Is mighty plain," quoth her;
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant ~ Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most; ~ Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant ~ Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Than, seizing on the swinging tail ~ That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant ~ Is very like a rope!

And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion ~ Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right ~ And all were in the wrong!

So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!

Let's look at Like Attracts Like. I encourage those of you that have not yet had a look at the Abraham-Hicks post on the Message Board to check that out and other posts. Simply put to use the Law of Attraction you would be the thoughts, feelings, energy, vibration, intentions, and other qualities like what you would like to attract. So what now? We come to this question over and over again "If I am creating my reality, then why am I getting this?" Let's say we want to attract a loving relationship. Using like attracts like, that would mean being a loving partner. Have you noticed how people "in love" glow and are attractive. This is state of being. In our physiology it is the hormone oxytocin is known to be a factor in the feeling of being in love. There is much more this mystery than chemicals. The point being the state of being is attractive.

This brings up the question of how can we consciously be in the state of being we want to be in to then attract what we desire. Here is where the the topics come in. Whether that is yoga, meditation, sound therapies or music, finding others to talk with or any number of other ways that we find to help bring us to the state of being we want, we won't know until we explore. As we explore, we become better explorers. Our confidence in ourselves, our feelings and intuition grows. We find techniques that work for us. That assist us in being in the state of being we want and so then when like attracts like, we are happy with what we are attracting. We become more conscious and so life becomes more fun, more exciting and more fulfilling often in way we never expected. Uncertainty is good. Do you trust the universe is friendly? A happy person finds unexpected happy surprises are everywhere. A very wise person said, be an explorer and be with those on the journey of exploration, avoid anyone claiming to have The Answer or The way. Let go exploring and have some fun.

Best, John
