Welcome Shamanic Explorers!

Welcome to the Shamanic Arts Alliance! This meetup group has been created to offer the community of Portland, Oregon opportunities to explore the shamanic arts. This group does not claim any particular shamanic tradition. Gatherings can highlight a variety of approaches, ideas, and healing techniques that might be of interest to people ready to explore their inner worlds, connect with the natural world, and experience personal healing.

The Shamanic Arts Alliance was organized by Quynn Elizabeth, shamanic practitioner and founder of The Insitute for the Shamanic Arts based in Tucson, Arizona. Quynn grew up in Portland and at the age of 26 she had a profound spiritual experience that called her to shamanize. After exploring her inner worlds in Portland for a year or so, she was called to go on the road and found herself in Tucson. Quynn’s greatest teachers have always been her inner guides and the world of Nature. Her work is to help others connect for themselves, in their own way.

The Institute for the Shamanic Arts is a part of Earth Web Media. Quynn Elizabeth incorporated EWM as a religious non-profit in 2008 to provide opportunities for people to experience the shamanic arts (she also calls this Animistic Eco-Spirituality) and to support people as they reunite with the Nature around them. Quynn comes to Portland each summer and was shocked to see that Portland does not have a shamanism meetup group, so she started this alliance.

Quynn kicked the season off with a shamanic journeying workshop on Tuesday September 8th, open to all. In order to help this meetup grow into a strong shamanic alliance, Quynn will be making alliances with shamanic practitioners and practitioners of related fields (drumming, trance, personal healing techniques, expressive arts, divination, dreaming, nature connection) who want to offer circles, workshops and events in the Portland area thru this meetup group.
