November Meetup

Whatup Slackers! (NOTE: Click PAGES tab for more info on the club)

Seth here with an update. Want to tell you about our Tuesday Nov 5th speaker.

We have Peter Waters coming to speak on what it means to be an entrepreneur who focuses on service to community, what it means to have a role in community, the response from doing good by your fellow Boulderites and how the fabric of Boulder is woven by people giving of themselves to their neighbors.

I've known Peter for a while, and I'm so impressed by his community connection, intelligence and person-ability. He's a managing partner at Taco on Walnut and cofounder at groundwork.jobs, a completely innovative, non-traditional approach to hiring based on authentic connections where job seekers can showcase their true talents.

ALSO, I have another great announcement. We will be having Brian Clark from CopyBlogger and Entreproducer speaking to us in January. Brian is a huge inspiration to me through his authentic and brilliant content marketing and has been a key player in the development of the industry, I believe before it was even an identifiable industry. I really value the way he dives into his work and serves powerfully.

I love this interview of Brian

NOTE: The date will change from first Tuesday to Second Tuesday of the month starting in January, 2014. This way solotreps can hit Newtech Boulder, which is held on first Tuesdays.

ALSO, I have one of my favorite entrepreneurial movers and shakers in the works to speak in March. He is an incredible venture capitalist who inspires me by his tremendous authenticity, and his nontraditional marketing and blogging style. As soon as we make a solid plan I will make the announcement.

FINALLY, How are YOU??? Dive into this new community, share something on the wall right now, tell us how you're doing!

Until next time,

I thoroughly enjoyed this Meetup. Seth did a great job as organizer; Peter was an inspiring speaker and energy of the others that I met was spot-on.

I'm so sorry I didn't make it. I was really looking forward to it and had a family emergency come up on the way there. Looking forward to next time! Thanks.

I can't wait to meet everyone. I just moved back to Colorado and am ecstatic to find all of these great people and opportunities - a little too ecstatic - I overbooked! I can't make the event tomorrow, but look forward to the next one. I had a great business before I left Boulder years ago for an opportunity in Arizona, but missed the mountains my family and friends, so took a chance coming back... and it's really paid off. The community really remembered and embraced me and my business is thriving once again. Now I'm hoping to soak up some of this new energy and see if I can do more or give back in some way.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
