This Young Professionals discussion group connects people in their 20's and 30's living and working with MS. We will discuss the effects of MS on this specific age group as it relates to the social, professional, personal and community aspects of life. Topics will largely be chosen by participants as well as speakers to provide outside education, resources and experiences.
The group's format will be open-ended to encourage natural group discussion. This is a great place to get to know MS if you are recently diagnosed, vent about the issues you encounter or help others through similar situations. Gain from others' experiences when choosing a treatment, locating a neurologist, deciding whether to disclose or how to deal with symptoms like memory loss or fatigue. MS can be isolating and feel overwhelming, utilize this group to create a support system of people you can relate to.
We will be meeting a one of the larger tables in Panera Bread in Glendale just South of Colorado Blvd. and Alameda. Please contact facilitator Liz Mellem at[masked] or [masked] with any questions or concerns.
RE: 5/27 Meeting
Here are some articles I've found over the past month. I'll bring them along - feel free to bring anything else you'd like to discuss.

See you all tomorrow!
