The Kite Runner is a novel by Khaled Hosseini. Published in 2003 by Riverhead Books, it is Hosseini's first novel,[1] and was adapted into a film of the same name in 2007.

The Kite Runner tells the story of Amir, a young boy from the Wazir Akbar Khan district of Kabul, whose closest friend is Hassan, his father's young Hazara servant. The story is set against a backdrop of tumultuous events, from the fall of Afghanistan's monarchy through the Soviet invasion, the exodus of refugees to Pakistan and the United States, and the rise of the Taliban regime.

My apologies for missing this meetup last night. A late afternoon meeting in MA went much longer than I had anticipated. I would love to attend the next meetup - did you select a new book or will you continue with the Kite Runner?

WOuld it be O.K. to come? I started this book when it first came out, forgot it at my best friend's and have it on my "list" to get back and haven't. I'm new to the group ... I likely have nothing to contribute (rae LOL!)_ but just joined and wouldn't mind meeting. Any feedback?f

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
