Mindful Yoga includes inner and outer aspects of yoga practice, meditative awareness as well as movement and postures. Following stretching and breathing, we will explore the practice of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a practice of deep relaxation and inner awareness which helps us to illuminate unconscious mental patterns and develop the creative power of consciousness. Deep relaxation also promotes healing in all dimensions of our beings. Classes are open to all levels for participants wanting to deepen their awareness as well as stretch their bodies.
Michael Garrity has been teaching yoga and meditation classes since 1981. He has travelled to India to study at the Bihar School of Yoga, an internationally recognized center for yoga education developed by Swami Satyananda Saraswati.
The cost of classes is $10.00 per class or $36.00 for 4 consecutive classes.
However, the First Class for new students is free.
