Looks like Meetup is playing games again--sorry--THIS event is the "Water in the Landscape"  workshop, which appears to have double-posted with this one.  We will be doing the DIY Wicking Worm Bed demo in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

We ave found our new home!  Sol Terra right in downtown (Old) Palm Harbor, where they are offering all kinds of great classes and workshops!

1-2pm Elementally, My Dear:  WATER  All about water in your landscape, how we use/abuse water--small changes you can make for greatest impact.

2-4pm Designing your home rain catchment system :  we'll show you a few examples of ones we and others have designed and used, review the pro's and cons of each, and then look at your unique situation to help you come up with the best solution.  Bring photos and property surveys, google earth--anything to illustrate your roof sq. ft., etc.

(This course counts toward your Permaculture Design Certificate 72 hours, if you should pursue professional certification through the Tampa Bay Permaculture Guild.)

Are you aware that our rain water is no longer acid, but now is more basic in character?
There are indications that aluminum may be showing up in our rain water. This is a metal you do not want in your plants nor in your diet. You might want to consider having your rain water tested for unwanted heavy metals. Generally speaking though rain water is superior to tapwater provided it has not been contaminated during the collection process nor during its time of storage.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
