I am putting together a weekend trip to Ludlow, VT. It will include lodging and mountain biking (or road biking). We might work in other activities such as kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, or what ever we want to do. We will be renting a house. The lodging cost is $50 per person, and there will be other expenses.
Road bikers can leave from the house for self-guided rides on Rt 100 or Rt 103. Both are popular routs.
Mountain bikers should be an intermediate to advanced rider and also be prepared to climb... VT trails always include A LOT OF CLIMBING. The rides will be cross country and Trail. Killington includes downhill. But, Killington is more retro-downhill.
Here are some links to where we might mountain bike:
Mountain biking and road riding is free unless we go to Killington for downhill. I am familiar with Pine Hill and Ascutney Basin. We may try the Green Mountain Trails.
You should bring additional money for food. Most likely we will pool resources and eat in at the house, but we may also go out to eat. Eating out may run $25 per meal (per person). Grocery shopping and eating in may be $30 per person for the weekend.
Please "Paypal" the lodging fee ASAP. The lodging fee is $50 per person (not per night ) for the two day weekend. I added $2 to cover the Paypal fee. Again, the "Paypal" money is for the lodging only. I need to collect that up front.
Please do not RSVP if you are a "Maybe". If you are interested but unsure you can e-mail me. But only RSVP if you are pretty sure you are going to go. It is hard to organize events with everyone RSVPing "Maybe". The house only holds 6 to 8 people so we are looking for committed "Yes". Obviously, things happen and situations require you to change plans from time to time but this should be the exception.
