Want a pump track in Stamford with easy Merritt Access? Keep reading...
City of Stamford is hosting an open house, 1st of 3, regarding the end-use of Scofieldtown Park & Yard tomorrow night October 9th @7pm. FC NEMBA has discussed a pump track and skills trail with Town and it has been positively received.
Some bullets to have in your pocket (look for folks in Green FC NEMBA T-Shirts):
-A pump track and skills trail give a safe, controlled, environment to introduce kids, and adults, to mountain biking, develop skills, get fit, and get outdoors.
-Construction would be done by Volunteers and using natural materials locally sourced, i.e. low cost/no cost to city.
-FC NEMBA has a track record of expertise, planning, executing, and maintaining a number of trail projects across the county, including Mianus River Park
We need you there to show support!!! Details follow:
From City of Stamford:
We truly look forward to the first of three public planning meetings for the end-use of Scofieldtown Park & Yard tomorrow night and hope that you can make it:

Wednesday, October 9, 2013

The date, time, and venue for meeting #2 has changed (please see below). Turns out that I scheduled it at the same day and time as a City-wide Master Plan meeting (for more information: http://stamfordmasterplan.org/) , and we do not want to dilute either meeting. I truly apologize for the inconvenience. A benefit of having at least one of the planning meetings in the Government Center is perhaps creating a better opportunity for a broader spectrum of residents to participate.
Public meeting dates:
1) Wednesday, October 9th, 7-9 p.m., Scofield Magnet Middle School GYM
2) Wednesday, November 13th, 7-9 p.m., Scofield Magnet Middle School GYM
Thursday, November 14th, 7-9 p.m., Stamford Government Center, 2nd floor, Senior Center auditorium
3) Wednesday, December 4th, 7-9 p.m., Scofield Magnet Middle School GYM
