We're back and ready to spread some more biking love around Stamford. Get pumped for Bike Stamford #2--coming to Mill River Park on November 3rd.
Join your fellow cycling enthusiasts--and overall cool folks--for the second citizens bike ride around Stamford. Together, we're creating a more bike-friendly Stamford and encourage cycling as means of recreation, fitness, and transportation. Isn't it about time someone spoke up? We're not reinventing the wheel with this ride, but we'll sure be spinning it.
We'll be kicking things into high gear at Mill River Park (at the corner of Broad St and Washington Blvd) at 3:00pm, followed by a ride up Bedford Street, down Hubbard Avenue, and then across Stillwater Ave. This will be a fun, quick, and painless 4-mile ride for all ages and abilities. Arrive 15 minutes before the ride--meet us on the Grand Steps where we will break down the rules of the road, explain the full route, etc. We promise not to blabber too much...
Let's face it: A bicycle can't stand on its own because it's two tired--and neither can we. Bring your friends, coworkers, family, and strangers. With your help, we can make Stamford 'The City That Bikes.'
Note: please wear a helmet (safety first, kids)
