Relax, kick back & meet other local cyclists in a social setting. Make friends, find riding buddies, participate in rigorous training sessions, or rip-up the trails...what ever you want. The Stamford Cyclist Meetup group is a motley crew of riders that meet up in and around the Stamford area to do various types of bicycling. We have mountain/off-road bikers that ride at Mianus Park after work during the week, and street riders that meet for casual rides around Stamford as well a fast paced traing rides.  This group is geared for those interested in cycling for fitness, competition, and recreation. Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced rides can be organized. 

This Meetup is actually a social networking forum more then a group.  The forum is a means for people in the biking community to find each other and get together.  As such SBG welcomes and support community originated event.  When you are thinking about doing a bike ride, please use the SBG to find others that are also interested.  Hosting and posting a ride is very easy, but feel free to e-mail the organizer if you have questions.

We are interested in finding Racers that want to lead a more rigorous training ride, and we are always looking for people to join us and possibly lead recreational rides through out Connecticut and the neighboring states. We are interested in exploring the many bike routes and rail/trails in the area. We may also do multi-night bike touring.
