Hi, I'm a casual rider.. always looking out for like minded folks. Prefer mtn biking (beginner), but I did do a couple century road rides last year
yes to all
does riding since i was kid count? I can get over smaller logs (under 1ft), too scared to go clipless, don't really do drops unless the takeoffs are super smooth, and the landings are very clear and usually walk over uphill rooted/rock garden paths.
trek 1400 (road), specialized p2 (dirt jumper/mtn bike)
Mtn biking (beginner), and road biking (C plu/B minus rider)
Because you're serious about mtn biking (regardless of level) and meeting similar minded folks...
Oh yeah. Try not to include "long and drawn out" speed training.
Darnell, I made you host of Saturdays run, since I will be out of town. I suspect Connor will want to run. If you can't make it let Connor know.
Sorry, just saw you post after I called. Look forward to getting together. I more interested in running 5-6 plus miles than doing exercises, and Connor said he would be there.
No, I didn't train due to an Achilles issue. We have a fun run Saturday with a new barefooter Connor. We look forward to seeing you after the NYC Marathon. Let me know If I can help with anything.
We are planning to do a 8.5 mile loop. I plan to start barefoot and switch to VFF after a while (2-4 miles). Pace is slow; I just started run BF on trails. My guess it will be a 10min+ pace.
Thanks. I sign up for the Oct Trail Run and I will sign up for the Loop went a spot opens.
If you mean the Leather Stocking Trail, we are running it tomorrow. You are welcome if you change your mind. You can call me at [masked] to discuss.
Darnell, We are not fast. Our pace is about 6 MPH, or 10 min/m. I am a bit overweight, but I am losing it, so I expect to be at about a 8min mile or faster by October. I will do about 7-9 miles tomorrow. If you don't plan to run as much, I can run to the meetup location which will make the group run 5-6. We are flexible still because the group members who actually run is small. If you plan to attend please RSVP. George
Thanks for joining our group. We are a small and relatively new group. I am also running in VFF or BF. I started the group because I love to run with others and will run the Athens Classic in Oct. Since you are running NYC a week later, you are welcome to do some of your long runs with us. George
