I started wargaming in about 1982 with AH Waterloo and Starship Troopers and Yaquinto's Ironclads (still have all three). I enjoy all kinds of board and non-collectible card games, including euros, coops, and "ameritrash," but would like to see a resurgence of historical wargaming and wanted to create a place for various wargamers I know to come together, share interests, and organize games.
Tide of Iron, Panzergruppe Guderian, Storm Over Arnhem, Thunder at Cassino, Hammer of the Scots, Richard III, Victory: Blocks of War, Here I Stand, Nexus Ops, Fortress America, Neuroshima Hex, Vinci, Ironclads, Red Storm Rising, Hunt for Red October, Twilight Imperium, Eclipse, Age of Conan, War of the Rings... I am looking forward to the Empires in Arms game we are organizing for this summer, and would like to play more pre-WWII wargames. I also have a pile of unplayed Victory Games to try someday including NATO, Korean War, Vietnam, Across Five Aprils. I like historical miniatures, but have never had the time or patience to collect, assemble and paint them - that is, I like other people's historical miniatures! :-)
Beltzhoover, near Mt. Oliver, in the South Side of Pittsburgh. I have been hosting games and Meetups at my home since 2008. I have two large custom-built covered game tables suitable for long term, multi-session games. Many games have been played on these tables, including a six Sunday massive double Tide of Iron game, three Saturdays Here I Stand Game, and multi-session Victory Blocks of War games.
I am a 40-something professional and gamer. I am the assistant organizer at Steel City Gamers Meetup, a member of GASP, and I run CHUCK-a-CON Game Sales. I like all kinds of board and non-CCG card games, but wanted a place for Wargamers to meet.
