What she recommended confused me really... because I
tried what she recommended...and I was pretty much
raised with what she recommended, yet I was always
sick.. So I always thought there had to be something
wrong with ME.. (Its always wrong with us isn't
it . . . )

Anyway when she died from cancer not so very long
ago... that sort of confirmed she didn't have it right
either.....but I always saved the books...just in case
I was wrong.. I might need them again. . (heaven
knows I've made my share of mistakes)... or I might
need to make a recipe for someone who eats other than I
do... That was silly thinking though because after the
age of 50 I refused to cook any animal products in my
house.....for anyone.. If they were coming by
me..they'd have to eat what I prepared.. Though the
food was delicious (to me) I had few
visitors....because vegan was taboo to
everyone.. ...very strange..

In some ways I was progressive in my thinking.. but in
others...I was 'thick as a plank'... now it all seems
so easy.. don't know why it was so hard then. but so
many options.. none of which worked for me..

It has been an interesting journey..

This is true -- for me as well, but didn't it get you
thinking about what
you ate in a different way?
I haven't had mine for years, but I am still grateful
for having read them
-- even though I don't do anything like what she
recommends anymore it freed
me from accepting only doctors, the USDA, etc. for
nutritional advice and
being open to other things!

Agreed... I just tossed my Adele Davis books last
week.. Cleaning and clearing out anything and
everything I no longer need..
I owned them all and read them all... but nothing
really made the difference that raw vegan makes.. at
least for me.
