The Sumter Cycling, Hiking and Adventure Club
Guidelines of Etiquette:
1. You must be at least 18-years of age to be a member of this group.
2. Answer the 3 simple profile questions.
3. Your profile images must include a portrait of yourself.
4. Show dignity and respect to all whom you encounter.
5. Do not use excessive profanity, abusive language or gestures.
6. Do not make offensive comments based on religion, race or ethnicity.
7. Children are not allowed at any Hiking Club event unless it has been clearly specified as a "Family Event".
8. Dogs are not allowed at any Hiking Club event unless it has been clearly specified as a "Dog Friendly Event".
9. Read and understand the specific details and description of each scheduled event.
10. When with a group , stay with the group.
11. Be prepared to hike on unpaved, dirt foot paths.
12. Helmets are REQUIRED on all rides.
13. PFDs are REQUIRED on all Kayak & Canoe trips.

Outdoor activities to include hiking, camping, rafting, kayaking, swimming, etc. involves inherit risks. It is your responsibility as a member or a guest of a member to observe all appropriate safety measures during any and all activities concerning the group. By participating in this voluntary group you expressly waive any and all claims that could arise from any of the activities planned to include, but not limited to, travel to and from an event, and during the actual event, and to understand the organizer and assistant organizers do not assume liability for personal injuries, death, destruction or loss of personal property. By participating voluntarily in the group, you expressly waive any and all such claims against each and every other member in the group, including without limitation any and all claims against the group organizer or assistant organizers.
