I've ridden on and off with the group last summer and intend to start riding again.
cycled 40 miles, hiked 6 miles, kayaked 3+ miles (first half was down stream, 2nd half was upstream. Next time I'll go up first!!)

It's a great way to get into biking. You chat the entire time and the miles just fly by, the hills (my husband calls them slight inclines) seem easier, and you miss socializing with the group when you can't ride (incentive). It's better then being stuck inside a sweaty aerobics room at the gym.
