The Breakdown: We read good books. We're looking for other intellectually curious, like-minded 20s/30s (a vague guideline) in Astoria (another vague guideline) to read them with us, share some food, drink, and sweet convo.
Some Favorites:The Sound of Things Falling by Juan Gabriel Vásquez, The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
The Time/Place: Every six weeks(ish) when the sun is out(ish) at a bar/food establishment somewhere in the Hood. If you've got two hours to spare and would like to spend it with us we'd love to have you!
Some Nitty Gritty: Please make sure to read the book! Even if you hate it and have to choke it down, we'd love to hear about why you hated it. Reading the book stimulates the conversation and we're all about sweet convo. Also, please only RSVP Yes if you plan on attending. No-shows will get you removed from the group.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
