Congrats to Jesse Willesee, Marta & the crew for putting on another fun & exciting night. If the truth be told there's very few events around that compare to Jesse's gigs in terms of providing photographers with such a varied feast of opportunities. Having said that I don't think Beach Rd Hotel is as good a venue as the King's Cross Hotel. Too cramped (like the Darlo Bar). The installations in the rooms were creative with lots of effort put into the details but kinda similar - not quite as much variety as in previous events. I thought the music was pretty cool - Will & the Indians are a talented young band who belted out some energetic Britpop-styled tunes. Buzz Kull on the other hand played some deliciously dark & moody electronica. The DJ's spun some good tunes as well. So all up another winner with plenty of subject matter for the 'shooters' who braved the fairly crappy weather.

I dont know how best to word this but here goes, lets see if I have this concept correct. Six Hotel rooms with different mock parties, played out by models.
Now for the fuzzy part:-
Lit by Studio lighting?
Do a group of photographers go in at a time or is it a free for all (Kaos type arrangement).
With the lighting setups do we need to bring our flash equipment? (I am thinking not).
Sorry for all the late questions,

Hi guys, just a bit of tips for the madness of Flash/Mob, it is $10 to get in. That money goes to the organisers of the event and not the Photo Meetup group. It can be very crowded and hot but that is part of the fun! Expect the unexpected be patient and polite sometimes the rooms can be extremely packed. Ask the models to pose they are more than willing and appreciate constructive, direct suggestions. Vary you camera ISO settings, shutter speeds and flash settings go with the flow and you will get some amazing results. Please do not hesitate to ask me any questions.
