If you are thinking of a meeting place -- I can recommend McGinty's Public House on Ellsworth. There is a smallish "side" room off the downstairs pub area. The beverages are about the same price as Quarry, but the food is a lot better. Most important, it is much quieter, and can seat a group of ten or so.

I have seen other groups meeting there -- and I imagine the Book Club could reserve every third Thursday with no problem -- worth checking out, yes?

Athena

PS
Also the Wayne's ave parking structure is free to anyone leaving the lot after 8pm!

Let's try the upstairs at Starbucks next to Einstein's bagels by the Metro in Silver Spring at the intersection of Colesville Road and East West Highway.

Does anyone know of a better, still local venue?
