Vegan Cooking Class at Miccosukee Land Co-op

Brian Burke will be hosting a Thai cooking class at the Miccosukee Land Co-op community center. Brian used to be a chef at a yoga retreat in Massachusetts and has cooked just about every type of cuisine you can imagine and would like to share his knowledge with others. It will be educational, entertaining, fun and there will be plenty of yummy food for all.

The cost will be $10 per person for the cost of the food and the rental fee for the community center. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided or you can bring your own wine/beer.

No worries but thanks for the Ed-it. Also, Kelly and Paul were part of the kitchen crew.

If we do this again, a PA system will be part of the fun.

I enjoyed the class very much; great ideas, tips, and food! The only reason I gave it for 4 stars is because it was a bit hard to hear to Brian.

Thanks to all who came out. Big thanks to the women who helped out with cleanup. Massive huge thanks and big time kudos to Julie for showing up two hours ahead of schedule to help with prep and for staying late to help me with dishes and cleanup. Above and beyond the 'call of duty'. Thanks again Julie!

We have also been toying with doing an almond milk/agar agar "panna cotta" but need to do some trial runs first. Maybe next time.

Picturing a nice cool cucumber based salad, some green curry tofu and vegetables, rice, pad se ew or some other veggie-rice noodle dish. Any suggestions? Dessert ideas are welcome as well!

Will try again. Do I bring eating utensils (plate, cup/glass, etc.)?

    April 15, 2013

    • Julie

No need to bring utensils - they have everything there:).
