The general idea and spirit of our group, is that people that deal with anxiety problems can help each other by coming together in meetings. It can be cathartic to share our varied, yet similar experiences. Our group is not run by mental health professionals and we are not meant to be a replacement for professional help. The wisdom, insights and other benefits that can be attained, are not dependent on specific individuals. Instead the benefits of this group come from the process of associating, socializing, sharing, active listening, empathizing, brainstorming and encouraging. As we learn more about each other, we can learn more about ourselves.
