How to Strengthen Your Friendships With Gay Men (And All People)

  • This location is shown only to members

A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same.
Elbert Hubbard

Let's talk friendships. Platonic friendships. With other gay men. And with all people for that matter.

What makes a good friend? How can we be more in touch, in tune, and really support the friends that surround us? We'll cover all of this and more during our March gathering.

We'll also...

• Get insights on tools to help you become the best damn friend you can be.

• Discuss what's gotten in your way in terms of making friendships with other gay men and how to approach it differently in the future.

• Learn what's so valuable about vulnerability. This is one of my favorite quotes from Brene Brown: “Vulnerability is the birthplace of innovation, creativity and change.”

Tim Winkler, Executive Director of Victories, an organization of men helping men, will provide valuable insights about how to be an all-around better friend. Visit Victories here:

**This is not a "singles", "dating" or "couples" group. This is for gay men who are single, dating, partnered, married. Should you happen to find love...then, yay!

Directions to Enerspace Chicago
*The entrance is not on the street so if you want to avoid making yourself crazy finding it, see the image below for a visual view of the entrance.
•Enerspace is just north of 410 North Carpenter between Kinzie and Hubbard on the west side of the street.
•The entrance to Enerspace is in the Sherwin Williams parking lot, to the left of the Sherwin Williams building. See the arrow pointing to the alley just to the left of the Sherwin Williams building. The entrance is there.
•The address on the building will say 1046 West Kinzie even though the door is not on Kinzie.
We're also walking distance from the blue, pink and green lines (Morgan).

- From Green line at Morgan: Walk north on Morgan. Turn left (West) onto Kinzie. Once you get to Carpenter, walk to the right of the building.

- Parking: FREE Street parking on Kinzie & Carpenter

I look forward to being with you all, been wanting to come to this group anyway. It's been hard for me to meet thoughtful gay men outside the typical spaces, so i'm grateful for this group and look forward to tomorrow!
