Historical Museum exhibit: Wisconsin Women of Style

  • Mar 29, 2014 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

** $4 voluntary donation ** Had I known this was going on, I'd have connected it to the Victorian fashions lecture a couple weeks ago. My bad. This is the final day of the exhibit.

"Wisconsin fashion" often refers to cold-weather clothing rather than stylish designer wear from Paris and New York. Yet beginning in the late 19th century, there have been Wisconsin women with the means and interest to wear extraordinarily expensive and fashionable clothes.

Wisconsin Women of Style showcases significant pieces from the Mount Mary University Historic Costume Collection and the Wisconsin Historical Society. Explore these spectacular gowns and garments, and discover the stories of the remarkable Wisconsin women who wore them.

Read more about the exhibit here.

Since this is an exhibit and not a lecture, we can go anytime between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. I chose 1 p.m. at random. If you prefer a specific time, say so in the comments.

Why don't we meet at the elevators at 12:45 p.m. Less crowded from the front desk. I will bring a list of attendees.
