Short description: A group for couples to meet up, socialize, play some board games, have a drink, and do all that other fun stuff you see people doing on TV, but dont have the time or social circle to do normally!

Long description: My fiancee and I are busy. We have jobs, two kids, and have had our lives tossed about by fate, jobs, previous divorces, and the like. Our social circle at work is small, friends were lost in divorces, moves, getting older, etc, and we thought what better way to meet some new people than to start a meetup group. I looked around, and didnt see many that catered to what we were looking for. We're 36... too old to slam shots and party with the 22 year olds (tho every now and then we try... with mixed results!), and too young for the early bird dinners. We'd like to meet other couples who share similar interests, such as board games, socializing, a drink at the bar, or doing something random and fun on the weekend.

We were going to start a board gaming group, then thought, we like to just go out and socialize too, so why not make a social group that gets together for board games as well sometimes? And by board games, we have a ton, and they span the range from classic games to new and quirky, some we havent even played yet... darn those minimum 4 player games!

Singles? Well - I'll be honest here... we used to be inclusive of singles, and we had a few show up to meetups, and it almost always felt awkward. Unless you're the right type of personality to fit in with a bunch of couples, we'd really reccommend that only couples join the group. It stinks coming to an event with a bunch of people you don't know, and being the only one there flying solo.

That being said, if that doesnt bother you, then come on in, we're not exclusionary like that. We just dont want to be misleading, and make anyone uncomfortable.

We're open minded, responsible adults who like to have fun. We don't care if you're gay, straight, black, white, green or blue. Just be mature, respectful of our home (if we're hosting an event) and be willing to try something new and have some fun.

Its time to meet some new people and try something different... what are you waiting for?
