Yes, great company and atmosphere yesterday, as always. Promising start of the new writing and reading season at the Toast´s

Bex, if i´m not mistaken, the link to the web is the following

I add another link, this time to my blog where anyone interested can find, not the passage i read yesterday driven by the echo of Mrs.Bottle´s lofty words, but another one so intense or even more, of Roth´s novel “Indignation” where the mother ´s main character adresses a memorable speech to his only child: poor good old Marcus.

By the way i´ve found in the web the french interview with Roth that Ryan mentioned in which he announces his giving up writing. This is what he says

"Are you still willing to write?

No. Moreover i don´t intend to write anything in the next ten years. To be honest, i´ve finished. “Nemesis” will be my last book. Look at E.M. Forster, he stopped writing fiction with 40. And i , who used to publish book after book, haven´t written anything for three years. I´ve prefrerred to work on my files in order to pass them on to my biographer. I´ve passed on to him thousand of pages that are like memoirs but not literary, not meant to be published as they are. I didn´t want to write my memoirs but i wanted my biographer to have the material for his book before i die. Should i die without having left him anything, where would he start from?"

Oh, what is the website for the group again? I didn't catch what was being said in full about it last night. Thanks, Bex
