1st New Serious Kids Baseball Team Run by North Americans

Do you have children who want to play baseball on Sundays? Our first serious new team practice, lead by North Americans, is officially scheduled for August 19th. If you know of any players in grade 3 (9-years old) thru grade 8 (14-years old) please let them know and have them, or their parents click RSVP here at the Tokyo Loves Canada Meet Up Group or the Baseball in Tokyo Group (BITG) forum on the Meet Up listing.

If you are unaware of the location of the diamond/field there is a Google map of the spot just above this event notification, once you have access to the BITG forum a more detail map will be available to you to show you the JR trains to take to get to the field and someone can meet you at the station to make the first trip easier.

The event is not part of the ASIJ school activities, as we are independent, so contacting the school will not help you clarify issues. It is also preferable to have your names before hand so that the school can be notified of all visitors on campus. This is a serious team and will play Japanese clubs in the distant future, but for a more casual play we can direct you to a program that is played in the spring that we assist.

Hope to see you there, let's play ball!

Well the first practice went really well with over 10 people turning up. With the international school community slowly spilling in from their holidays we should be able to increase our numbers to well over the mandatory 9. I'll hold off of any more Meet Ups here on TLC for now and wait for some new aspect or Q&A to come in.

We had 10 people turn up and most of the children are still spilling in from their holidays abroad before school year starts again at the international schools. We expect more players each week for the next 2 months. We have a new team name and our uniform will have a maple leaf on it. So any young Canadians ball players need to flock to the leaf to help such a Canadian friendly team. In fact I've been contacted by The Canadian International School and hope to have more support from them shortly.

Does anyone know of any organization or bar that might want to sponsor a little league team?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
